The client

HackerOne is a cybersecurity firm that connects organisations with ethical hackers to uncover and fix vulnerabilities through bug bounty, disclosure and pentesting programs. Ahead of its biggest company event of the year, it needed a website redesign that reflected a bold new brand identity while keeping the user experience seamless. The site runs on Drupal, so the project had to balance ambitious design with fast load times, intuitive navigation and a tight launch schedule.

The challenge

HackerOne had to deliver a high-impact redesign for a major company event while aligning the whole site with a new brand identity. The complex Drupal build had to stay performant, and the existing user experience had to be preserved throughout a large-scale change. The timeline was aggressive, leaving little room for the usual redesign overruns.

The solution

01Discovery and stakeholder research

Cro Metrics began with stakeholder interviews, internal focus groups, brand audits and competitor benchmarking to shape a strategy that protected user experience while rolling out the refreshed brand across all pages.

02Modular templates and UX testing

The design and testing phase combined data-driven UX work with scalable, component-based page templates so the site could keep evolving. Modular layouts were aligned to user journeys.

03Drupal 11 build and SEO

The team implemented the new site on Drupal 11, adding SEO optimisation, integrations, content migration and rigorous testing, plus hands-on training so HackerOne could maintain the site long term.

04Post-launch validation

After launch Cro Metrics ran QA and ongoing testing, working through daily syncs and real-time adjustments to keep refining forms, landing pages and engagement.

The results

The redesigned site launched on time for HackerOne's major event. Conversion rate rose 27%, contact form submissions rose 60% and engagement on key landing pages rose 17%. Drop-off rates fell as well, and the work was delivered without compromising site performance or brand integrity.
