The client

AxisCare is an all-in-one home care software platform offering back-office scheduling and point-of-care tools to agencies in all 50 U.S. states and four countries.

The challenge

AxisCare needed visibility on high-value keywords and more qualified organic traffic to reduce its reliance on paid channels. It also had to build topical authority with home care agency owners and smooth the path to demo. Later, competitors began appearing in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini answers while LLMs drove under 4% of AxisCare's referrals.

The solution

01Topical authority and clusters

Directive researched home care agencies' daily pain points and grouped keywords into clusters that match how the ICP searches.

02Data-driven resources

Industry reports, surveys and first-party data analysis, plus long-form ICP content through Q2 to Q4 2024, gave AxisCare differentiated thought leadership.

03Conversion-focused UX

The pricing page, navigation and footer were improved and ICP-focused FAQs added to shorten the route to a demo.

04Generative engine optimisation

An llm.txt file prioritised key pages for AI crawlers, long-form pages were refreshed for AI readability, and Scrunch surfaced content opportunities for both SERPs and LLMs.

The results

In the first nine months of the SEO program, scheduled demos rose 200% and relevant organic traffic 70% year over year. From Q1 to Q3 2025, the GEO work grew overall referral traffic 25% quarter over quarter and lifted the LLM share of referrals from under 4% to 15%. AxisCare generated net-new leads from LLMs and SQLs from ChatGPT referrals soon after the llm.txt launch.
