The client

Six Flags is North America's largest regional amusement-resort operator. Guests use its website and apps to plan visits, buy tickets and find their way around the parks.

The challenge

Branding and content structures varied from park to park, so the sites felt like separate businesses rather than one national brand. The existing app was unstable and relied on static PDF maps, which did little to help guests inside large, complex parks. Ticketing ran on a long-term third-party platform that could not be replaced in the first phase. Park teams also needed local control over content without fragmented publishing workflows.

The solution

01One design system, three libraries

Fueled built a foundational library for shared colour and typography, plus dedicated component libraries for mobile and web. Both products stay consistent without being forced into identical patterns.

02Interactive maps and wayfinding

Concept3D venue maps were embedded in the native apps with native controls and Six Flags content. Guests can recenter on their location, tap rides, restaurants and shops, and get walking directions.

03In-app food ordering and better ticketing

A custom ordering flow integrated with VenueNext lets guests order and get pickup alerts. The ticket journey was redesigned around the existing vendor rather than replacing it.

04Composable web platform

A new website on Next.js and Sanity gives each park roles, approval workflows, page-building tools, seasonal event pages and English, French and Spanish localisation from one CMS.

The results

Six Flags launched new native iOS and Android apps alongside a rebuilt website. The mobile experience contributed to a 22% increase in downloads and 3.3 million additional monthly users. Even within the ticketing vendor's constraints, the redesign produced an 8% conversion rate in ticket sales and a 28% drop in bounce rate on the ticketing page. Park teams now share reusable components and centralised editorial workflows.
