The client

TUI Poland is the Polish arm of the TUI travel group, selling package holidays, flights and accommodation. As its customer base grew, it wanted a digital channel that put its full catalogue of offers in travellers' pockets.

The challenge

Bookings were tied to travel agencies with fixed opening hours, which many 9-to-5 workers simply could not reach. TUI needed an app where customers could research, compare and book holidays themselves at any time. That meant personalised recommendations built on stored preferences and search history, plus a payment flow secure enough to earn trust. Balancing convenience with strict security for stored payment details was a core requirement.

The solution

01Self-booking built around search

Miquido designed an app with contextual search, advanced filtering and sorting so users can compare offers by amenities, location and price. Favourites and push alerts let travellers track trips they are watching.

02myTUI personal profiles

A myTUI profile stores preferences, search settings and booking history to power tailored recommendations. Logged-in users see active, cancelled and past reservations, flight details, documents and payment status in one place.

03Secure, quick checkout

Users can pick rooms, transfers and insurance in-app, then pay by card or PayU with optional saved details. Instant confirmations and real-time status updates follow every transaction.

04Support during the trip

Chat assistance before and during the stay, transfer details and on-site excursion info turn the app into a companion for the whole holiday, not just the purchase.

The results

The app passed one million downloads on Google Play and holds ratings of 4.6 on Google Play and 4.9 on the App Store. It opened an additional sales channel to digital-first travellers and widened TUI's audience beyond traditional holiday bookings. Its commercial success led TUI to roll the same travel management app out to the Czech market.
